A brief summary of what you will learn during this course:

-Ancient Yogic Philosophy (8 Limbs of Yoga) -Pranayama (Different Methods of Breath Work) -Correct Alignment in the Fundamental Level 1 Yoga Asanas (Postures) -Building Strength & Body Awareness -Techniques to Increase Flexibility -How to use Props to Improve your Asana Practice -Meditation & Relaxation Techniques -Basic Mudras (Hand Gestures) -Introduction to the Bandha’s (Body Lock’s) -Basic Vinyasa Flow Sequence

This 6-week back to basics course, is designed for complete yoga beginners, or those who want to deepen their foundational yoga knowledge. This course is led by International Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Maddie Lynch, who will take on a journey into discovering the path of yogic practice.

Throughout this course Maddie will teach you the foundational knowledge that you need, to safely enter into the Level 1 Asanas with full confidence in your abilities. Maddie will weave elements of yogic philosophy, breath work and much more, to provide you with a holistic and authentic experience of yoga, with close ties to it’s Indian roots. Where you will learn to breathe like a yogi, by developing a deeper awareness to your breath, allowing you to learn how to calm the turbulent mind.

Each week will be themed and dedicated to learning a certain aspect of yogic philosophy, covering key asana alignment basics and more, so that by the end of the 6-weeks, you will feel confident in following along to a full Level 1 Vinyasa Flow Class.

It is Maddie’s intention that after this course, not only will you feel fully confident as a Level 1 Yoga Practitioner, but more importantly that you will discover a deeper and more meaningful connection to yourself, through the path of yoga.
