The YOGA StudioAshtanga Yoga Level 1-2 In Ashtanga Yoga, asanas are linked in specific set sequences that deepen flexibility, strength, stamina & concentration. Sequences are repeated each class, to give students a space to fine-tune alignment of the Asana (postures) and to deepen its experience through breath and focus of the mind. Emphasis is given to guided breathing (Ujjayi), body alignment (propping & assisting with the teacher) & Dristi gazing (method used to deepen awareness). This class will focus on the first half of the primary series and offer variations were needed to allow every student to find access into the asana. As the flow will be dynamic and strong, students are encouraged to have a regular yoga practice (not necessary Ashtanga based) when attending this class.
