About Vedanta:

Vedanta is a means of self-exploration and the oldest tradition of enlightenment. You can find information about this unique path on James' website at www.shiningworld.com. His book "How to Attain Enlightenment: The Vision of Nonduality" has reoriented the spiritual perspective on yoga and Vedanta in the West back to its roots. His books "The Yoga of Love," "The Fire of Self-Knowledge - Atma Bodha" - Commentary, and "The Yoga of Three Energies" (all published by Yoga Vidya Verlag) wonderfully present the path of understanding.

About James:

James Swartz (Ramji) has been teaching Advaita Vedanta for 53 years and is now one of the few authentic Vedanta teachers in the world. He studied under the guidance of Swami Chinmayananda, one of India's most respected sages, in the late 1960s and early 1970s (who was a student of Sivananda). Since then, James has taught Vedanta to thousands of students all over the world. His ability to teach authentic Vedanta in simple, modern English and to present the teachings in a lively, humorous, and provocative way is extraordinary.

Self-Exploration:

Knowledge of the Self is obtained through Vedanta, the path of self-exploration, which culminates in the non-dual vision that is not separate from non-dual love. Vedanta is a systematic means of investigating three topics: (1) the world, (2) the person who experiences the world, and (3) the invisible factors that control the behavior of the world and unconsciously affect the individual.
