Sacred Tools for Liberation - Mantra, Chanting, Kriya, Pranayama, Psychological Inquiry, Asana, and Meditation

Mantra, chanting, kriya, pranayama, philosophical inquiry, asana, and meditation are potent tools that can aid individuals in liberating themselves from the confines of the limited self. By exploring and integrating these practices into our lives, we can embark on a transformative path of self-discovery and spiritual awakening.

The journey of spiritual liberation entails transcending the limitations of the egoic self and experiencing a profound connection with the expansive essence of existence. Tantra is understood as a path to spiritual liberation that emphasizes the realization of the unity between the individual self and the ultimate reality, known as Shiva. In this pursuit, various skillful means and techniques have been developed throughout the ages to facilitate this transformative process.

In this workshop we will explore the possibility of blissful release into vibration through chanting of mantra, application of asana and kriya, and by deep reflection on truth, via the practice of meditation and self-inquiry. We will specifically emphasize standing asanas that heat and power the body, while further emphasizing seated positions to open the spine and the hips allowing for deeper meditative exploration. We will invoke bandhas, mudras, and visualizations in order to deepen this inner vision. Finally we move on to mantra based practices which hold a significant place among these practices. When you reverberate with the mantras, sacred sounds or phrases, you dissolve the perception of limitation. By repetitively chanting or silently reciting mantras, we aim to engage mind, body, and spirit into a harmonious symphony. The focused repetition of mantras allows the mind to transcend mundane thoughts and merge with divine essence.
