Level: Beginners with experience / Intermediate

We will start working at the barre to focus on placement and understanding ballet technique throughout pure physicality. The class will also approach dynamics and musicality, two main keys to improve technique. In the center we will work on moving through space by keeping all the tools we build at the barre. I want to approach ballet as a deep physical science that brings so much joy.

Born in Nice, France, Sandrine starts her professional career at the age of sixteen by joining the Paris Opera Ballet after being awarded the Professional Prize at the Prix de Lausanne. She danced in the following with the Monte-Carlo Ballet, Zurich Ballett, National Theater Mannheim, Ballet British Columbia and Bejart Ballet as a principal artist. Since retiring from stage, Sandrine has taught the Scottish Ballet, Basel Ballet, Bern Ballet, Alonzo King Lines Ballet and San Francisco Ballet and was ballet mistress with the Royal New Zealand Ballet, Ballet British Columbia and Frankfurt Dresden Dance Company. Sandrine is delighted to return to Marameo this summer.
