Circus Acrobatics @ Phorms School for Grades 4 - 6 FOR PHORMS STUDENTS ONLY!

In this class children will learn basic and fun circus skills such as juggling and aeriel. Also cartweels, building up into one- handed cartwheels, handstands, handstands into forward rolls, balancing, back bends and bridges, splits, jumping into rolls, walkovers and round-offs. These skils will be strengthened and continued throughout the year leading to natural progression of a higher level which we can then then build upon at each childs individual level. Acrobatics is a great way to gain strength and flexibility, develop co-ordination and balance and encourage focus and patience as we each work towards our individual goals. This energetic class will give children the opportunity tolearn cool basic and age appropriate circus skills, gain acrobatic technique and enjoy team work in a structured weekly class in a warm, fun and relaxed environment. Children taking part in this class are expected to wear proper acrobatic attire. We have a non compulsory uniform or leotard and shorts, a unitard, sports leggings and tight fitting sports top or t-shirt can be worn. Bare feet are acceptable for this class but acrobatic shoes are most welcome. Long hair should be worn up and away from the face.
