My name is Diana Crista and starting pole dance was a real turning point in my life. When I started, I did not have a positive image of myself but I was motivated to feel better in my body and in my mind. With time and practice, I have gained strength, flexibility, but above all confidence in my physical and mental abilities. I felt empowered. After the birth of my second child I was looking for a sport that would combine flow, strength and sensuality. In 2013, I took my first pole dance class in Brussels and have never stopped since then. It was love at first sight...

I teach mainly pole dance and flexibility, handstands and sometimes also chair dance, sexy floorwork... I also have several years experience teaching in other schools in and around Brussels and I am still following classes and workshops to upgrade my level. I am in love with handstands and splits and like to make my combo's flowy. So I am here to teach you several handstand poses and all kinds of moves and combos with a touch of flow.

I come from an activist background, where values like equity are not just ideas, but something you fight for. When I became a pole dance teacher, I started asking myself how to bring those values into my classes in a real, concrete way. That journey made me a more technical and attentive teacher: I focus on adapting tricks to each student’s needs, to different body types, strengths, and abilities. For me, pole is less about perfection or performing “sexiness”, and more about what your body can do. It’s about learning, having fun, feeling capable, and finding a space where you can let go of daily pressure and simply move.

In 2024 I took my first pole dance classes (here at DC studio) together with a friend, both very nervous to try this new sport. The nerves of those first classes soon turned into excitement and after a while, pole classes became a place where I felt at home. From the start I’ve loved to challenge myself physically as well as mentally. Like going to DC’s pole camp to Lisbon after only one season of pole dancing, taking classes at other studios to explore different styles, going to workshops out of my comfort zone… As a queer person I feel very strongly about creating an environment in class where everyone feels welcomed and safe. I hope to share my love for pole, and dancing in general, in my teaching.
