Rocket® Yoga is a dynamic and empowering practice developed by Larry Schultz in the 1980s. Rooted in the traditional Ashtanga Yoga system, Rocket breaks away from hierarchy and rigidity, giving students the freedom to explore their own creative process.

The Rocket system is divided into three series designed to build strength, flexibility, and awareness while consciously stimulating the digestive, respiratory, and nervous systems. These sequences invigorate and challenge practitioners with advanced postures yet remain accessible through intelligent variations and the practice of acceptance.

During this training, you’ll dive into the history and philosophy of Rocket Yoga, gain a solid understanding of all three sequences, and refine or begin your inversions practice. Whether you’re looking to deepen your Rocket journey or simply explore a new, fun, and transformative style of yoga, this official training is for you.

To receive your official Rocket® Yoga certification (50H), full attendance is required, unless you already did the first 25h before. There will be a short written review on the final day to confirm your understanding of essential concepts.

Curriculum:

• Daily Rocket practices
• History and philosophy of Rocket and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
• Usage and meaning of mantras, including Ashtanga’s traditional opening chants
• Building a consistent pranayama practice
• Mat markings: using alignment guides tailored to your body
• Integrating breath, bandhas, and drishti into your practice and teaching
• Floating and flying techniques
• Teaching methodology for Rocket I, II & III
• Finding creativity within Rocket sequencing
• The three faces of the practice: modification, classical, and creative variation
• Hands-on adjustments: assisting foundational and advanced asanas
• Anatomy and alignment of inversions and arm balances
• Adapting the Rocket series for beginners
• Integrating Rocket and Ashtanga as a complete system
• Pranayama and Kriya techniques
• Workshops focused on warm-ups, backbends, inversions, arm balances & transitions

The training includes the official Rocket manual Progressive Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga (in English), featuring all key concepts and photographic references of the original series.
