Why train a choreography?

A choreography is one of the many tools to improve your follower styling. It gives you the opportunity to repeat movements, refine your technique and build muscle memory. Through repetition, your styling becomes more natural and confident instead of feeling forced.

It also helps you develop a better sense of musicality by exploring accents, phrasing and dynamics in the music. Over time, you’ll build a movement vocabulary that you can naturally use during the free moments in partnerwork.

A choreography isn’t the goal—it’s simply one way to train expression, confidence, technique and musicality. The real goal is to help you feel more free, expressive and connected to the music in your social dancing.
