Workshop Description
Daloy Movement is a Filipino-rooted embodied practice developed by choreographer Ea Torrado, drawing from improvisation, mindfulness, intuitive movement, and somatic awareness. Grounded in the Filipino value of pakikipagkapwa—the understanding that the self is always in relationship with others, nature, and the unseen—Daloy invites participants into movement as listening, connection, and shared presence.
The practice also reclaims Bahala Na / Bathala Na not as resignation, but as radical trust in life’s unfolding. Through guided improvisation, breath, imagery, and elemental movement scores, participants are encouraged to move from sensation rather than fixed form, and from responsiveness rather than performance. Open to dancers and non-dancers alike, the workshop offers a space for grounding, creative expansion, and a deeper experience of flow, aliveness, and relation.
