"Neoclassical Ballet" Intense Workshop with Marcello Ferreira
Ballet is not just a rigid system of rules; it is a living, breathing language of expression.
This 4-day intensive is designed to bridge the gap between classical precision and contemporary freedom. Grounded in the elegance of classical ballet but infused with the fluid, dynamic, and expressive soul of the neoclassical repertoire, this workshop is about finding more space in your movement, deeper musicality, and a freer approach to your technique.
Each session starts with a dense, energetic neoclassical technique class (roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes) to challenge your limits and unlock your fluid line. We will then transition into a creative choreography laboratory for the remaining 45 minutes, though this breakdown may shift slightly depending on the day and the needs of the dancers. Together, we will dive into the soul of neoclassical repertoire, learning and refining beautiful choreographic fragments.
The 4-Day Journey: For full-course participants, this is a progressive journey. Each day we build upon the choreography, deepening our connection to the movement and working together to shape a complete section of a piece by the end of the week.
The Drop-In Experience: Spontaneous drop-in dancers are warmly welcome to share the space. You will experience the technical class and immerse yourself in a beautiful, self-contained choreographic phrase for that day.
Come with an open mind and a passion to move. Bring your technical foundation, and let’s find the artistry within it. (Pointe shoes are welcome for those who wish to dance en pointe, but are by no means compulsory).

Teacher Biography
Marcelo Ferreira Ballet Dancer & Guest Instructor
Originally from Brazil, Marcelo Ferreira is a professional ballet dancer currently performing with the Leipzig Ballet (Oper Leipzig). Classically trained but deeply passionate about the evolution of dance, Marcelo’s career has allowed him to master both the rigorous demands of traditional classical ballet and the fluid, expressive demands of modern and neoclassical masterpieces.
As a teacher, Marcelo brings the energy and artistic insight of a working company dancer into the studio. His classes focus not only on technical precision, strength, and placement, but on helping dancers find their unique artistic voice, musicality, and emotional depth through movement. He is thrilled to share his love for the neoclassical repertoire with the community at Tanz Zentrale.

Stornierungsbedingungen
Auszug aus den Workshop AGB:
2. Stornierung und Rückerstattung / Abbruch des Workshops 2.1 durch den Teilnehmer (m/w/d)
1) Storniert der Teilnehmer (m/w/d) seine Buchung bis 14 Tage vor dem 1. Workshoptag, ist die Stornierung kostenlos. Es erfolgt eine vollständige Rückerstattung der Workshopgebühr.
2) Im Weiteren fallen Stornierungsgebühren an.
2.1) Storniert der Teilnehmer (m/w/d) seine Buchung am 13. Tag vor dem 1. Workhoptag fallen 20% der Workshopkosten als Stornierungsgebühr an. Die restlichen 80% der Workshopkosten werden zurückerstattet.
2.2) Storniert der Teilnehmer (m/w/d) seine Buchung ab dem 8. Tag vor dem 1. Workshoptag bis 5 Stunden vor Start des Workshops fallen 50% der Workshopkosten als Stornierungsgebühr an. Die restlichen 50% der Workshopkosten werden zurückerstattet.
3) Sollte der Teilnehmer (m/w/d) kurzfristig (innerhalb der Stornierungszeit, siehe Absatz 2.1 und 2.2) erkranken und den Workshop aufgrund seiner Erkrankung stornieren, ist der Tanz-Zentrale ein Attest vom Arzt vorzulegen. Es erfolgt dann eine vollständige Rückerstattung der Workshopgebühr.
4) Bei vorzeitigem Abbruch des laufenden Workshops besteht kein Anspruch auf Rückerstattung. Die Tanz-Zentrale behält sich – Kulanz halber – eine teilweise Rückvergütung der anteiligen Workshopgebühren (in Form einer Tanz-Teilnahme-Gutschrift oder ein Gutschein für einen zukünftigen Workshops) nach jeweiligem Ermessen vor. 2.2 Stornierung durch den Veranstalter: Bei zu geringer Teilnehmerzahl oder anderen betrieblichen Gründen behält sich die Tanz-Zentrale das Recht vor, den Workshop abzusagen oder auf einen Ersatztermin zu verschieben. Bereits geleistete Zahlungen werden in diesem Fall vollständig zurückerstattet.
