In this intensive, we will dive into an explorative and physical journey through the principles of contemporary floorwork. The focus lies on developing an understanding of the body’s relationship to the floor, emphasizing pressure points, tension and release, weight shifts, breath, and efficient movement pathways. Through a combination of guided movement exploration, technical sequences, and dynamic phrases, participants are invited to create their own movement flow. We begin with somatic preparation and improvisational scores to check into the body and build a responsive physicality, followed by structured movement material that integrates these principles. Participants will be supported in developing their own physical language and movement flow while building strength, coordination, and fluidity. Each day builds on the previous one, allowing movement qualities to evolve and deepen over time.
